Aircrew Training Simulator In consortium with 5DT For 80 Aircrew Navigation School of the SAAF The purpose of the ATS is to provide training of various aircrew on various aircraft. This include procedural training for ab initio student navigators and instructor navigators, air familiarisation training for other aircrew, procedural training for maritime aircrew in conjunction with the SA Navy and procedural conversion and cotinuation training for squadron aircrew. In order to achieve the training objectives, namely en-route and tactical navigation training, the system emulates both systems and performance of the various aircraft, to varying levels of realism. |
